Antijantepodden is a podcast produced by Frode Burdal Klevstul, author of the book “Bill Goats and the Forest”, and Miriam Ekelund, author of “Du skal lide for fellesskapet”. The podcast focuses on the ugly sides of conformity and dangerous believes that are held by many in our society.
Antijantepodden started after the podcast host Miriam Ekelund published the Norwegian book “Du skal lide for fellesskapet”. The book explored the Norwegian culture, which is the 6th most conform country in the world. She interviewed 12 people about their experiences with the Norwegian culture, and how you will get bullied and even ostracised for your independence from the group. She and her life partner Frode Burdal Klevstul, the author of “Bill Goats and the Forest”, started Antijantepodden together to continue focusing on the dangers of conformity. During the last few years, we have seen extreme examples of dynamics that were already there, and we have focused a lot on exposing all the lies told by the media and officials. The psychological and social aspects of this is our primary focus.
